The Cavendish London has been a hotel on its present site since 1966, with a Cavendish hotel having existed since the mid-nineteenth century. Formerly owned by the formidable Rosa Lewis – better known as the Duchess of Duke Street – the hotel is proud to continue providing contemporary and stylish 4-star accommodation whilst sitting comfortably with its history amongst the elegant gentleman’s outfitters of Jermyn Street.

Dubbed ‘The Duchess of Duke Street’, for her royal connections, Rosa Lewis culinary services were the height of fashion during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and our delicious cocktails exude her rich and elegant tastes. It was she who began our tradition of culinary excellence which continues to run through our contemporary menu today.

Attention to detail is the key ingredient in our afternoon tea, and our finger sandwiches boast delicious fillings with a twist, including hot salmon with chive and cream cheese, cucumber with buffalo ricotta and black sesame, prawn cocktail with Marie rose, and lemon and Croque monsieur.
Not complete without our finest Birchall teas, our carefully curated Cavendish pastries are perfectly complimented with our delicious, hand-picked selection of teas, pulled together with the skills and knowledge of our expert culinary team. For those who prefer something a little bubblier, upgrade with a glass or bottle of fine champagne. For extra added sparkle, try our bottomless afternoon tea served with refillable prosecco for 90 minutes.
