The Cavendish London has always aspired to be the best 4 star luxury hotel in London. Sunday Times Best 100 Small Companies to Work For 2013 For the last 3 years The Cavendish London has been voted one of the best 100 small companies to work for as voted by The Sunday Times. The Cavendish strives to make the working environment of the working force to be the best as possible so they can deliver the great service the Cavendish is famous for.

The Sunday Times list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For is derived from the views of employees and the policies and processes of employers. It identifies best practice in the British workplace and ranks companies according to their performance in eight key indicators of employee engagement: Leadership, My Manager, Personal Growth, Wellbeing, My Team, Giving Something Back, My Company, Fair Deal

Green Tourism Gold Award
The Green Tourism Award is important for businesses that care and strive to look after their local environment. Winning Gold in this award is a testament to the commitment The Cavendish London has for green initiatives in its local area. The Cavendish believes in looking after its environment and supporting local suppliers. All ingredients from the hotel's restaurant menu are derived from seasonal produce that comes from local suppliers, leading to reduced "food miles".
In the bedrooms, they also offer complimentary condiments from Taylor of Old Bond Street, with proceedings going towards helping the blind.

Considerate Hotelier Award
Once again The Cavendish London is proud to be awarded The Considerate Hoteliers Award. An association of hoteliers that aim to bring about good change through environmentally friendly and sustainable practises. At The Cavendish, people asking for directions which can be walked are often advised to. Not only is this saving the guest money and allowing them to take in certain sightseeing hot spots but also helps reduce CO2 emissions within the capital.
During quiet times within the hotel, two of the three elevators are switched off at night as to help reduce energy used.
Every room is equipped with energy saving appliances, from the taps and faucets to the lights bulbs and the energy management system that operates the lights and air-conditioning.


The Cavendish London is also part of a carbon neutral initiative that helps cease the use of wood from Cerrado as fuel and replace it with renewable bio mass, such as sawdust, wood chips and sugarcane bagasse.
