1. National Gallery
This London gallery is displaying Western European painting from the Middle Ages to the early 20th century. Includes work by Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, Gainsborough, Turner, Renoir, Cezanne and Van Gogh. Also special exhibitions, lectures, video and audio-visual programme, guided tours and holiday events for children and adults.
2. National Portrait Gallery
Portraits in all mediums, from oil and watercolor to sculpture and drawings depict famous and infamous British men and women from the Tudors to the present day. Lectures and tours are held, and holiday programmers are arranged for children. Major development work undertaken for the millennium has created a Tudor Gallery displaying the earliest works in the collection and a Balcony Gallery for portraits from the 1960s-1980s. There is also a state of the art lecture theatre, an IT Gallery and a roof top restaurant with stunning views.

4. Serpentine Gallery
Serpentine Gallery is one of London's best-loved galleries for modern and contemporary art. Its Exhibition, Architecture, Education and Public Programmers attract approximately 750,000 visitors a year and admission is free.In the grounds of the Gallery is a permanent work by artist and poet Ian Hamilton Finlay, dedicated to the Serpentine's former Patron Diana, Princess of Wales. The work comprises eight benches, a tree-plaque, and a carved stone circle at the Gallery's entrance.

Home to the greatest collection of British art from 1500 to present day. Exhibits include the Turner Prize and works from Blake, Rossetti, Spencer and Stubbs.
6. Tate Modern
Homage to modern and contemporary art from 1900 to the present day, housed in the former Bankside Power Station. Opened in 2000, the riverside collection spans works from Matisse to Moore, Dali to Picasso

The Wallace Collection is a national museum in an historic London town house. In 25 galleries are unsurpassed displays of French 18th century painting, furniture and porcelain with superb Old Master paintings and a world class armour.

9. White Chapel Gallery
The Whitechapel Art Gallery was founded in 1901 to bring great art to the people of east London.
