Every Sunday, after a good night's sleep and a delicious breakfast at The Cavendish London, there is nothing nicer than a stroll around Columbia Road Flower Market. From 8am to around 3pm, you can find all types of plants and flowers, ranging from palm trees to tulips. Londoners and tourists have been coming here since the beginning of the 20th century to buy some roses, daisies, lilacs, or a couple of orchids to decorate their interiors. For those who want to start a new hobby, you can also find gardening equipment.
There are over 60 independent sellers that attract many visitors who wish to expand their gardens, or just bring back home fresh flowers. The Columbia Road Flower Market is a bit off the beaten tracks for tourists, and even Londoners. It is truly a hidden gem!
There is also a lot to do around the flower stands. Visitors can find shop among the vintage shops, or enjoy a drink in cute cafes to rest after hard negotiations of flower prices.
Located in the trendy district of Shoreditch, it is a 20min Tube ride from Oxford Circus on the Circle Line to Bethnal Green.
