5 Reasons to Visit London in March

Hello to all, we hope you are very well. We are all looking and feeling much happier since the Spring seems to be starting to show its first flowers, leaves and much missed sunlight. Here at The Cavendish London, we have decided to put a few things together to help you get the most out of your stay in London.

Dreamsworks' Madagascar Live!

Wembley Arena, 1st March to 3rd March 2013

From the hit 2005 film comes an adaptation following 5 animals from New York's Central Park Zoo who find themselves on an unexpected journey to Madagascar. Brilliantly recreated to relieve the fun and humour from the hit film, including amazing storytelling, dance and music including everyone's favourite song Move it! Move it!

Re-live this side-splitting adventure with all your favourite characters including Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe and Gloria the Hippo.

Join the St Patrick's Day celebrations

Throughout London, March 17th

Join the vibrant Irish community in London for a knees-up and a few pints of fantastic Guinness. Paint it all green this March. The St. Patrick's Day Festival is on the 18th March in Trafalgar Square, but there will be much more going on throughout the bars and pubs in the capital over the whole weekend including the traditional St Patrick's Day parade starting at noon in Trafalgar Square.

The Bodyguard Musical

The Adelphi Theatre, Throughout March

Winner of the Best New Musical 2013, The Bodyguard tells the story of Frank Farmer, a secret service agent hired to protect Rachel Marron whom unexpectedly fall in love with each other. Based on the smash-hit film starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner, this acclaimed musical is set to be a heart stopper. Featuring classics such as "I wanna dance with somebody" and the famous "I will always love you", The Bodyguard is set to be as popular as the Smash hit that stole everyone's hearts in the early 90's.

The View from The Shard

View 40 miles of London Skyline

After such a long wait, The Shard is finally complete and has now opened its doors to the public to experience one of the most breathtaking views in Europe. Standing tall at 1,016 ft high, and covered in glass panes, it boats an observation deck which opens for visitors in March and offers views that spans 40 miles across London. It is the English equivalent of the Eiffel Tower, and a must see when visiting the Capital. Adult tickets are expected to start from £24.95 and with the viewing platform located on the 72nd floor (highest viewing point) you will be sure to be left breathless at a height of 245 metres.
