Claire Baber Recommends... No, No Cosette!
by
Claire Baber of Access London

comments
As well as regularly writing on several sites and blogs about theatres, shows and the arts Claire Baber is the editor of
Access London
, a blog that promotes Access to the Arts for All. The Cavendish London supports Claire's blog and has developed the
Access Statement
to ensure that all employees, guests and others who use the hotel are treated equally and according to their needs.
We asked Claire to guest edit our blog and recommend some entertainment for this coming weekend and she did not hesitate to select No, No Cosette! This musical event is taking place on this Friday and Saturday (12th and 13th of October) at The Pheasantry, Chelsea. To get there from the hotel take the tube to Sloane Square, bus to King's Road or taxi direct to the theatre with all options taking about 20 minutes.
"London's West End has a vast array of shows and evening entertainment on offer for guests from
musicals
to
opera
to
comedy
. Why not try something that combines all three of these to give you an evening's entertainment you won't forget?
Back by popular demand
, for two nights only on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th October,
Rebecca Caine
brings No, No Cosette! to
The Pheasantry
. Rebecca Caine, internationally acclaimed operatic and musical theatre soprano, reveals her dark side in her most recent cabaret. With music by
Blitzstein
,
Vernon Duke
,
Turnage
, Ravenhill,
Offenbach
,
Kern
,
Porter
,
Novello
,
Yeston
,
Coward
and more, this evening has something to delight everyone. Rebecca will be accompanied by
Nathan Martin
on piano.
Rebecca created the role of Cosette in Les Miserables and also played Christine Daae in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera in both London and subsequently the Canadian Premiere. She has also performed in My Fair Lady, Oklahoma, Salad Days and, most recently, The Sound of Music. Her many Opera credits include Lulu, Cunning Little Vixen, Julietta, La Boheme, La Traviata and Figaro's Wedding.
The Pheasantry is an intimate cabaret space on the King's Road, Chelsea and provides a great venue to spend with an evening of entertainment,
food and drink
.
Tickets
are prices at £20 each with a discount to £15 for seniors and students. Please note that this venue is located on the lower ground floor of the building and can only be accessed via a flight of stairs.
The space is set out with tables and works on a first come, first served, allocation and there is an option to request specific allocations on the booking form. Staff will do their best to accommodate these requests but it is best to arrive early to get your choice of seat. Although The Pheasantry doesn't have level Access for wheelchairs its intimate space means that no seating is far from the performance area making it suitable to some of those who are hard of hearing or have difficulties with their sight.
Tickets are selling fast and should be booked online for
Saturday 13th October
. Alternatively, the booking line is 0845 6027 017. Doors open at 7.00pm for patrons to arrive and enjoy dinner (
Pizza Express menu and prices
) before the show begins at 8.30pm.
I would thoroughly recommend coming to Chelsea on the 12th and 13th October for an evening of wondrous singing, witty humour and plenty of entertainment at No, No Cosette!"
