The Concierge Guide: Harry Potter Studio Tour
by

Our Head Concierge, Richard Jenkins, is constantly road-testing London attractions so our guests benefit from the most accurate and up-to-date information as possible.
Last Wednesday Richard was a guest on the
Golden Tours Harry Potter
bus to visit the
Warner Brothers Studios
. Here are his tips for visiting the themed day-trip from central London.
"On Tuesday morning we left the Cavendish London and walked 5 minutes to Green Park station where we took the Victoria Line just one stop to Victoria Station. From Victoria we boarded the special Harry Potter bus organised by Golden Tours to Leavesden Studios, the journey was an 80 minute ride which would be easily spent reading a few chapters to anticipate what you will see when you arrive.
The exhibition is made up of props, models and sets that were used in the films, including buses, bikes, cars, costumes and a fantastic 1:24 scale model of Hogwarts. Adults and children both have the chance to take home a souvenir by simulation of flying a broomstick using green screen technology and this is captured by either a photo or a 1 minute video depending on budget.
I would recommend allowing about two and a half hours for the exhibition, the first half hour with a guide and the rest to wander around. The Tour opens on the 31st Of March but you will need to book in advance as weekends are almost fully booked until June. Please also be aware that they are happy for you to take as many photos as you wish but you cannot make any videos.
