  • by Fabricio Torres

These are our top 5 recommendations of fantastic attractions to visit this winter... Hope you like them!

Natural History Museum
Besides the permanent collection of amazing objects from the world's natural history, the museum has plenty of other activities during the winter. The most well known seasonal feature is the amazing 950-square metre ice skating rink just outside the museum, with a bar serving hot chocolate, mulled wine and tasty snacks. Indoors, you will find the amazing Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition, which features wildlife pictures from established and up-and-coming photographers, well worth a look.

Winter Wonderland London

Winter Wonderland
You won't be disappointed after visiting the largest Christmas Fair and Market in London. The choice of food, drink and entertainment is almost overwhelming, but the whole market is very carefully planned, and it doesn?t feel too crowded, even at times of high attendance. Fair games, rides and more make it a perfect destination for the whole family.

Covent Garden Market
Covent Garden gets very festive this Christmas Season! The Cavendish London is just a few minutes' walk from this enclave of traditional Christmas spirit in Central London. Tradition and the latest technology meet this Christmas in the Market, with the contribution of digital artist Martha Fiennes, an ever-changing digital Nativity scene. From the 17th December, every Saturday, there will be reindeer petting in the South Piazza of the market.

Somerset House London

Somerset House
The uber-pretty and well-located art gallery gets very wintery (and busy) this time of the year. Besides the fabulous pieces of art on display, the main feature this season is the amazing ice skating rink, with its own bar for drinks and snacks. It has been described as the most glamorous ice rink in London... and who are we to disagree!

ZSL London Zoo
The London Zoo is the world's oldest scientific zoo and opened on the 27th April 1828. Nowadays, is the happy house of 16,802 scary, cute and, some of them friendly animals. This winter, the zoo has received the charming visit of Santa's herd of reindeer, and you will even be able to interact with them in the Reindeer Lodge! Follow the link above for more information.
