We are currently seeking a Desk Concierge at the Cavendish London. You will be responsible for creating a positive first impression & providing a warm welcome to everyone that enters the hotel. You will deliver an excellent level of service, ensuring that our guests have all the information they require and that their expectations are met and exceeded so that they leave the hotel with fond memories.
As part of the role, you will also be required to supervise the Luggage Porters on shift and ensure that they deal with all guest requests in a professional and efficient manner and that all tasks are completed at a well-timed fashion.
In order to achieve the requirements of the role, your knowledge of London & the surrounding area has to be up to date and you must be familiar with all major routes to the city. Previous experience in a similar role within a London Hotel is required together with a customer focused attitude. The ability to prioritise and organise guest requests accordingly is paramount.
You must also hold a full, clean UK Driving Licence as you will be required to valet park guest cars in the absence of the Garage Attendants. 12 hour shifts, averaging 40 hours per week. Full flexibility is required in regards to availability to work, including weekends.
Groups & Events Sales Co-ordinator
As Groups & Events Sales Co-ordinator you will be joining our team to actively convert event enquiries into confirmed sales, develop future and repeat business and contribute to the profitability to the company by generating revenue through our 5 meeting rooms.
You will be required to pro-actively identify customer needs and provide solutions to match them and effectively communicate with clients throughout the booking process to ensure full understanding and management of client requirements. You will also be required to deliver outstanding customer service and handle telephone enquiries in accordance with set criteria. Experience of OPERA is preferred but not essential. Strong attention to detail is a must and excellent administration skills including knowledge of Word, Excel & PowerPoint is required.
We currently have a vacancy for a Night Manager within our Front Office Department.
As a Night Manager you will manage and co-ordinate the operation of the hotel throughout the night from 11pm until 7.30am, ensuring the effective running of the Front Office department and the security of the whole Hotel. Duties include the supervision of staff on duty (Night Concierge, Room Service & Rosa Lewis Bar), the running of the night audit and resolving all guest situations in accordance to the high standards expected of the Hotel. You will also be required to supervise the Night Receptionist and ensure the smooth running of operations during the shift.
Front Office experience within a 4 star hotel is advantageous, in particular experience covering/working Night shifts. Numeracy & IT skills and a confident customer focused attitude in particular when handling guest complaints and interacting with guests at all times are also essential. A fluent level of written and spoken English is also required.
This is a full-time role and full flexibility is required including the availability to work weekends.
We are currently looking for a Commis Chef to work in our team of 10 chefs in our 2AA Rosette Restaurant. You will be responsible for the preparation of food for all food service areas, ensuring that a consistently high standard of food presentation is achieved, suitable to that of an ambitious 4 star Hotel with a 3 Star award from the Sustainable Restaurant Association.
You would be expected to:
- prepare food to an exceptional standard to surprise and delight customers adhering to the standards set by the AA Rosette
- be conscious of the environment and consider organic, free range and local sustainable products wherever possible
- work within operational and legislative procedures; and
- ensure careful control of food stocks to preserve quality and minimise wastage.
It is essential that candidates have a genuine interest in food and cooking. Previous experience within an AA Rosette environment or similar hotel environment would also be advantageous. This is a full time position, 40 hours per week; please note shift work and weekends are part of the role.
Food & Beverage Assistants (Full time)
Friendly and customer focused individuals are required to offer the highest level of service to our guests within our restaurant, lounge, room service & conference departments. Duties vary from setting up the dining area, conference rooms and lounge to serving our guests, preparing drinks and delivering trays to the rooms.
Previous customer service skills, ideally within a restaurant or hotel environment and a good command of English are essential. This is a full time position, 40 hours per week; please note shift work and weekends are part of the role.
