Thanksgiving is celebrated the 4th Thursday in
November, the day before Black Friday. It is a national holiday celebrated in
the US. It is also celebrated in Canada but in October. Originally, it was celebrated by the pilgrims in the New
World in 1621 after their first harvest. Following President Abraham Lincoln’s
decision, it became a national holiday in 1863.
This celebration is also a perfect occasion to feast with
the traditional Thanksgiving menu which usually includes roasted turkey served
with cranberry sauce and sausage stuffing, green beans, mashed potatoes and pumpkin
pie.
The day following Thanksgiving, Black Friday, is dedicated
to shopping and is considered to mark the beginning of the Christmas season
with amazing promotional sales. With a similar idea, the following Monday
called Cyber Monday has been created in 2005 to encourage people to shop online
where great deals are available.
Even if Thanksgiving is mainly celebrated in the US and
Canada, you can get your turkey and celebrates in London too! We had a look to
