The Art of Being British 2011

Warryn working on a typically British concoction

At The Cavendish London we are extremely excited and proud to announce that the 2nd edition of "The Art of Being British" is taking place again on Jermyn Street, on the 10th September, for the delight of visitors and Londoners alike. The event will start at 12pm and finish around 5pm, and entry is free.

To make the event more interesting, we have created a fantastic and very British drink that will be available during the event. The drink was created by our barman Warryn Lloyd (pictured pouring it) and according to him, the Red Rosa is supposed to "transport you back to the British countryside", (not sure after how many!).

The Art of Being British on Jermyn Street

The first edition of The Art of Being British happened last year and it was a huge success, at The Cavendish London, we hosted a free hog roast, which was another huge success. At the end of the day, we fed around 700 visitors that queued patiently to enjoy the roast on a warm and mild day. Besides the fantastic hog roast, there was a catwalk showcasing all the fashionable gentleman's and ladies' outfitters of Jermyn Street, a children area with storytellers, a stand offering Pimm's to the public and much more.

If you are looking for a free family-friendly event this September, then look no more. The Art of Being British is a fantastic showcase of the style, glamour and quality that characterises the street and makes the British so special.

Jermyn Street is very centrally located, just a short walk from Piccadilly Circus and Green Park underground stations, and a ten minutes' walk from Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace.
